Jaisay Aapki Marzi is a Pakistani drama series that revolves around the theme of narcissism and how it affects love and relationships. The first episode introduces the main characters and their backgrounds. Dur-e-fishan Saleem plays Zara, a young and beautiful girl who is engaged to Mikaal Zulfiqar’s character, Arsalan. Arsalan is a successful businessman who is obsessed with his own image and reputation. He is very controlling and manipulative towards Zara, who loves him blindly and tries to please him in every way. Arsalan’s family is also very influential and rich, and they look down on Zara’s family, who are humble and simple. Zara’s father, played by Javed Sheikh, is a retired army officer who suffers from a heart condition. Zara’s mother, played by Kiran Malik, is a loving and supportive woman who worries about her daughter’s future. Zara also has a brother, played by Ali Safina, who is married to a greedy and selfish woman.

The episode shows how Arsalan treats Zara with disrespect and indifference, and how he makes her feel insecure and unworthy. He constantly criticizes her appearance, her choices, her family, and her friends. He also lies to her about his whereabouts and his activities. He even forces her to change her wedding dress at the last minute, because he thinks it does not suit his status. Zara endures all this without complaining, because she thinks he loves her and wants the best for her. She also hopes that he will change after marriage.

The episode ends with a shocking twist, when Arsalan calls off the wedding on the day of the ceremony, leaving Zara heartbroken and humiliated. He tells her that he has fallen in love with someone else, who is more compatible with him. He also blames her for not being good enough for him, and for ruining his life. He then leaves with his new bride, who turns out to be Zara’s best friend.
